Finding a Starting Place

A short note on easing into a blank page without waiting for the perfect idea.

Starting can be the hardest part of making art. A blank page asks too many questions at once, so I like to answer with one small mark.

Some days that mark is a loose circle. Other days it is a color I cannot stop thinking about. Once something exists on the page, the work becomes a conversation instead of a test.

That is the spirit I want Art Panda classes to hold: begin gently, stay curious, and let the next step reveal itself.
